BOARD OF EDUCATION: The Wilmot Union High School Board of Education meets once a month, with the exception of April when there are two meetings. Upon request, submitted twenty-four (24) hours in advance, the District shall make reasonable accommodation including the provision of informational material in an alternative format for a disabled person to be able to attend this meeting.
BOARD NORMS:
Decisions will be based on the Board's strategic plan, its mission, reliable data, and what's best for students.
The Board and District Leader presume positive intent of Board members, staff, and community. Be cognizant of how questions are phrased.
The board will act as stewards of tax dollars.
Board members will complete foundation work to be prepared for meetings.
Meetings will be efficient.
All perspectives will be voiced and heard.
Be willing to support a team consensus.
All board members will maintain a professional decorum.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Members of the Board may ask questions for clarification and briefly discuss the matter as permitted in accordance with State Statute, but may not take any action on an item unless it is on the agenda. All citizens are asked to identify themselves before speaking. In accordance with Board policy, Public Comments will be limited to 30 minutes with each individual being allocated 5 minutes.
