8450.01 – PROTECTIVE FACIAL COVERINGS DURING PANDEMIC/EPIDEMIC

It is the policy of the Governing Board to mandate that all school staff, students, volunteers, and guests must wear face coverings as required by law. This face covering policy is established because of the importance of face masks in slowing the spread of COVID-19 and after considering all the available science. Recognizing that available scientific information, local needs, and laws may change at any moment, the Governing Board authorizes the Superintendent to unilaterally review and adjust the instant face covering policy in consultation with the appropriate officials. At no time, shall this policy require a standard that is less than required by law.
