7543 - UTILIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER'S WEBSITE AND REMOTE ACCESS TO THE CENTER'S NETWORK
Access to the ESC’s Website is encouraged.
Parents, students, staff/employees, and community members are encouraged to access the Educational Service Center's website (https://www.ovesc.org).
The following resources are available on the Center's website:
- links to school websites
- School/Center Departments
- Governing Board minutes
- information concerning the Center’s Anti-Discrimination Policies and Guidelines, including Section 504/ADA complaint procedures
- summary of all reported bullying incidents (updated twice a year)
- required Forms
- employment and Volunteer Opportunities
- resources for additional information during a crisis/an emergency situation
- contact Info
Parents, students, staff/employees, and community members should check the Center's website regularly for changes to these resources and for the addition of other resources. Some resources may require a user name and password, or a login procedure due to the personally identifiable nature of the information provided through that resource (e.g., the gradebook program and e-mail system). If a user name and password, or login procedure, is necessary to access a resource, the user should contact the applicable school or department for access.
Access to the Center Network Through a Server
Governing Board members, Center employees, Students, as well as contractors,vendors, and agents of the Center, are not permitted to use their personally-owned computers or workstations and/or web-enabled devices of any type to remotely (i.e. away from Center property or facilities) access the Center's server and connect to the Center's network.
Any exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance, in writing, by the Superintendent.
Any employee who violates this policy may be disciplined, up to and including termination; any contractor, vendor, or agent who violates this policy may have their contract with the Center terminated; and any student who violates this policy may be disciplined, up to and including suspension or expulsion.
