0166 - AGENDAS

Agenda

  1. It shall be the responsibility of the Superintendent, in cooperation with the Board President, to prepare an agenda of the items of business to come before the Governing Board at each regular meeting.
  2. The agenda of the regular monthly meeting or special meetings may include a report from the Superintendent on information relating to the Educational Service Center ("ESC" or "Center") with such recommendations the Superintendent shall make.
  3. Each agenda shall contain the following statement:

    "This meeting is a meeting of the Governing Board in public for the purpose of conducting the Educational Service Center's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. Public participation is governed by Board Bylaw 0169.1 - Public Participation at Board Meetings."
  4. The agenda for each meeting shall be provided to each Governing Board member in advance within a reasonable period of time. The notice to the public and media shall be pursuant to R.C. 121.22(F).
  5. The Governing Board shall transact business according to the agenda. The agenda may be modified in accordance with the Governing Board's adopted parliamentary procedures at any regular meeting.

Consent Agenda

The Governing Board may use a consent agenda to efficiently address routine matters. Items on the consent agenda will be reviewed during the meeting prior to action being taken.

Items on the consent agenda shall be limited to routine matters. The following routine business items may be included in a single resolution for consideration by the Board:

  1. minutes of prior meetings
  2. bills for payment
  3. hiring of personnel
  4. resolutions that require annual adoption, such as bank signatories, association membership(s), etc.
  5. resignations and leaves

A member of the Governing Board may request any item be removed from the consent resolution. No vote of the Board will be required to remove an item from the consent agenda. A single member's request shall cause it to be relocated as an action item eligible for discussion.

Rescheduled Regular Meeting Agenda

For rescheduled regular meeting dates that have been noticed at the organizational meeting, the agenda for a rescheduled regular meeting shall be the agenda that had been established for that regular meeting and the agenda may be modified pursuant to agenda procedures detailed in this policy.
