3220C - COMPONENTS OF THE DISTRICT TEACHER EVALUATION PLAN
This guideline identifies the specific criteria and a systematic procedure to evaluate staff as required by Policy 3220 – Staff Evaluation.
Specific Criteria
The specific criteria to be used in the evaluation system include the following:
- Organized, Structured Classroom Management
- Instructional Delivery and Innovation
- Content Knowledge
- Technological Proficiency
- Productive Teaching Techniques
- Intellectual Stimulation
- Positive Interpersonal Relations
- Professional Growth
- Contribution to District, building or grade level goals
Systematic Procedure
The evaluation process shall include:
- SLO and PPG;
- District and state required components from the CESA 6 Educator Effectiveness system.
- Summative Conference using the District approved evaluation instrument for beginning teachers, teachers who have an Individualized Improvement Plan, and teachers who are scheduled for formal evaluation.
Improving Student Academic Achievement
Evaluation of professional staff should be used as a constructive process to objectively identify both strengths and weaknesses of the employee for the purpose of giving direction to and providing assistance in improvement, to make decisions for retention, discipline, assignment, promotion, and, where applicable, for compensation.
