1110 - ASSESSMENT OF DISTRICT GOALS

The District has invested a great deal of time and effort to develop and implement a strategic plan.

In order to better ensure that the goals are being achieved as intended, each goal should be assessed on a periodic basis using the following strategy. The strategy also will help determine what needs to be done as a follow-up to the assessment.

Adopt District and Superintendent goals


The Board will follow the timelines for the establishment of District and Superintendent goals with the Plan, Do, Study, Act steps identified below.

Plan, Do, Study, Act

STEP ONE - PLAN

  1. List the tasks necessary to complete (What)
  2. Identify the people responsible (Who)
  3. Establish a timeline (When)
  4. Grade levels and locations (Where)

STEP TWO - DO

Collect data for:

  1. Process Measures

  2. Outcome Measures

  3. Balancing Measures- What were the unintended consequences of implementing the change idea?

STEP THREE - STUDY

  1. Was thePlan, Do, Study, Act cycle carried out as planned? 

  2. What happened?

  3. What were the results? 

  4. What did we learn? 

STEP FOUR - ACT

Decide to Adopt, Adapt, or Abandon

Recycle the strategy as appropriate to achieving the goal (Plan, Do, Study, Act) and maintaining it on a continuous basis.
