5724 - PREPARATION FOR VOTER REGISTRATION

The Board of Education believes that preparing students to assume the responsibilities which our democratic society places on each of its citizens is an important function of the schools. Supplying our high school students with all pertinent information regarding voter registration is one crucial means of meeting this goal.

Accordingly, the Superintendent, using such resources as the high school administration, faculty and student body, local officials, and others can provide, may develop a nonpartisan, voter education program for the high school.

The administration of the high schools may offer to all students who reach the age of majority, the opportunity to register as voters.
