3421.01 - GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE – MAJOR MEDICAL

The Board of Education realizes the concern of its employees for the availability of those protective and personally advantageous benefits beyond an individual’s basic salary. It is the Board’s desire to make available or provide, within the limits of law and sound fiscal management, those which are beneficial to the employee and the District.

The Board shall provide group health insurance for full time employees of this District eligible to participate in accordance with statute.

Participation in this plan is optional.

Any employee regularly scheduled to work four and one-half (4 ½) hours or more per day, five (5) days a week of the regular work year is defined as a full time employee.
