3124.01 - EMPLOYMENT CONTRAT FOR ADMINISTRATORS

In accordance with law and for the mutual protection of the District and the employee, every administrator shall be required to enter into a written employment contract.

Initial employment contracts for administrators may not exceed three (3) years in duration; following three (3) years of District employment, the term of subsequent contracts shall be no less than two (2) years nor more than five (5).

In order to determine the various administrators salaries an index will be established. The index shall be as follows:

  1. High School Principal 1.41

  2. Elementary Principal 1.25

The salary shall be determined by multiplying the index figure by the appropriate figure on the teacher’s salary schedule. The minimum placement of an administrator will be on the ten (10) year level.

Each employment contract shall include:

  1. a recital of the employee’s administrative position and duties;

  2. the salary and other compensation to be paid;

  3. the number of days to be worked;

  4. the number of days of vacation and paid holidays;

  5. the term for which employment is contracted, including beginning and ending date;

  6. the intervals at which the salary will be paid;

  7. such other matters as may be necessary to a full and complete understanding of the contract.
