1400.50 - JOB DESCRIPTION – COMPUTER REPAIR

RESPONSIBILITY:

The computer repair person is responsible directly to the Technology Director or other administrator assigned to his/her supervision.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The computer repair person is the Google Apps Administrator, conducts related professional development and maintains the District website.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Administers and supports the Google Applications for teachers.

  2. Conducts Google and other related teacher trainings.

  3. Maintains and updates the contents of the District website.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Interacts with students, staff, visitors, supervisors and colleagues in a positively-responsive manner.

  2. Participates in in-service training programs.

  3. Works in accordance with District policies and procedures as well as State and Federal regulations.

  4. Responsibility for confidentiality of student data.

  5. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or administration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Knowledge of school setting.

  2. Demonstrated skill in technology, Google Applications and website design.

  3. Service record that reflects positive interpersonal relationships, experience with school-age children and sensitivity to student needs.

  4. Familiarity with audiovisual and computer equipment.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

  1. A variety of computers, chromebooks and audiovisual equipment including various types of projectors and televisions.

  2. Communications equipment (i.e. phone system, media retrieval system, intercom).

ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Occasional exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue.

  2. Occasional exposure to high noise levels and equipment noise.

  3. Occasional interaction among unruly children.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

As specified in employee's contract and in keeping with the negotiated agreement.
