9190 - CHARGES FOR INDUSTRIAL/TECHNICAL PROJECTS

It is the policy of the Board of Education to approve school sponsorship of functional occupational projects as part of the shop instruction related to the occupations being taught by the District school(s) as long as they do not compete with local community businesses.

Functional projects may be accepted by the teacher with the approval of the principal.

Careful consideration shall be given to each project to ensure that the service rendered is not being exploited and that the project is of educational benefit to the students.
