8146 - NOTIFICATION OF EDUCATIONAL OPTIONS

The Board of Education recognizes the need to provide alternative means by which students achieve the goals of the District.

Annually, by January 31, a list of all educational options available to children who reside in the District will be provided to parents as a Class 1 notice and on the District's website.  These options include public schools,  private schools participating in a parental choice program, charter schools, virtual schools, full time open enrollment, Early College Credit Program, Start College Now Program,  part-time open enrollment in a nonresident school district, youth apprenticeship programs offered under 106.13, Wis. Stats, and options for students enrolled in a home-based private education program.

In the Class 1 notice, as well as the notice on the District website, the Board shall identify the most recentreport card accountability rating that has been assigned to each school within the District boundaries, including charter schools and private schools participating in a parental choice program. This notice shall also inform parents of the availability of the full school and School District accountability reports.
