3244 - COACHING CLINICS
In keeping with its commitment to foster the best programs possible and to recognize that individuals who coach competitive sports programs within the Shiocton School district should continually strive to better their skills and practices, the following guidelines will be used to determine attendance and fiscal responsibility at coaching clinics:
Varsity or Junior Varsity coaches who wish to attend an approved coaching clinic or sport related instructional event in their area of coaching responsibility will be allowed up to two (2) days of school leave time in which the district will furnish an approved substitute. Any additional days may be taken from an individual’s allotted personal days as permitted under the current Teacher Master Agreement or may be granted with approval of the District Administrator. Approval by the Athletic Director and the building Principal is required prior to any registration or commitment.
Coaches attending approved clinics will be granted up to $25.00 per day for meals. Reimbursement will be made with the presentation of acceptable receipts.
Varsity and Junior Varsity coaches are each allotted up to $125.00 per sport season to cover registration, lodging, and mileage for clinic attendance. All hotel/motel reservations shall be cleared through the district office for tax and accounting purposes. All receipts must be submitted in order to be reimbursed.
The School District of Shiocton will NOT pay for association memberships.
The Athletic Director, with District Administrator approval, may be permitted to attend more than one clinic/state tournament.
