1260.01 - TEMPORARY INCAPACITY OF DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR
The Board shall exercise its authority under law to determine the temporary incapacity of the District Administrator at the request of the District Administrator (with medical documentation) or upon certification by a physician. In the event the District Administrator is deemed temporarily incapacitated (for a period of not less than one (1) week nor more than eight (8) weeks), the duties and functions associated with said position shall be performed by the Business Manager until such time as the District Administrator is able to return. In the event that the Business Manager is not able to perform such duties, then the Special Education Director shall be charged with performing the duties and functions associated with the District Administrator position until such time as the District Administrator is able to return. The Board shall set the compensation of the interim District Administrator and may remove the interim District Administrator from said position at any time by a majority vote of the full membership of the Board.
The District Administrator shall, upon request submitted to the Board President, be returned to active duty status. The Board may require the District Administrator to establish, to its satisfaction, that s/he is capable of resuming his/her duties on a full-time basis.
