2230 - COURSE GUIDES
The Board of Education recognizes that the District must develop and maintain curriculum course guides in order to better accomplish learning results with students.
As appropriate to the course of study, each guide shall contain:
the intended learning outcome(s), defined in terms of how the learning is applied;
knowledge and skills needed to achieve those outcomes;
learning activities needed to achieve the outcome;
appropriate materials, resources and list of supplemental materials;
suggested methods of instruction;
evaluation criteria, standards, and methods which will confirm the extent to which learning outcomes have been achieved.
The District Administrator or his/her designee shall be responsible for the preparation of course guides and shall establish administrative guidelines related to their preparation.
All new course guides and revisions of existing guides shall be submitted to the Board for approval.
