0154 - MOTIONS

The School Board shall, at the organizational meeting on or before January 15th:

  1. Elect a:
     
    1. president;
    2. vice president; and
    3. secretary;

each of whom is a different member;

  1. Appoint a treasurer of the Board and of the School Corporation who is a person, other than the Superintendent, who is not a member of the Board;
  2. designate a day, place, and time for regular meetings which shall be held at least once every month;
  3. authorize the President of the Board to appoint individual Board members to any necessary committees or as representatives to various organizations;
  4. appoint a legal counsel;
  5. appoint a Board member as legislative liaison to the Indiana School Boards Association;
  6. appoint the local board of finance;
  7. appoint a Board member as a member of the Central Nine (C-9) Executive Board.
