2230 - COURSE GUIDES

The School Board recognizes that there may be a need from time to time to augment one or more segments of a course of study with a guide in order to better accomplish learning results with students.

As appropriate to the course of study, each guide shall contain:

  1. the intended learning outcome(s), defined in terms of how the learning is applied;

  2. knowledge, skills, attitudes, and value needed to achieve those outcomes;

  3. learning activities needed to achieve the outcome;

  4. appropriate materials and resources;

  5. suggested methods of instruction;

  6. evaluation criteria, standards, and methods which will confirm the extent to which learning outcomes have been achieved;

  7. a list of supplemental materials for the guidance of teachers.
