2230 - CURRICULUM COURSE GUIDES

The Board recognizes that the District must develop and maintain curriculum course guides in order to better accomplish learning results with students.

As appropriate to the course of study, each guide shall contain:

1. the intended learning outcome(s), defined in terms of how the learning is applied;
2. knowledge and skills needed to achieve those outcomes;
3. appropriate materials and resources;
4. evaluation criteria, standards, and methods which will confirm the extent to which learning outcomes have been achieved;

The District Administrator shall be responsible for the preparation of curriculum course guides and shall establish administrative guidelines related to their preparation.

All new curriculum course guides and substantive revisions of existing curriculum course guides shall be submitted to the Board for approval before they are implemented.

Copies of all current course curriculum guides shall be available on the District website.
