9190 - CHARGES FOR INDUSTRIAL/TECHNICAL PROJECTS

The Board encourages school sponsorship of functional occupational projects as part of the vocational/technical program of instruction related to the occupations being taught by the District school(s).

Functional projects may be accepted by the teacher with the approval of the principal. Proceeds however from these projects shall be deposited in an internal account that has been established to support the program’s ongoing success.

Careful consideration shall be given to each project to ensure that the service rendered is not being exploited and that the project is of educational benefit to the students.

Patrons shall be charged a reasonable fee for services rendered used in completing instructional projects. Applicable sales tax will also be charged.
