8410.01 - CRITICAL INCIDENT RESPONSE

  1. The Board believes that the employees, and students of the District, as well as visitors, are entitled to function in a safe school environment. To this end, the Board has adopted policies related to conduct in the school setting as well as those that address various critical incident event situations as outlined in each school’s School Emergency Operations Plan (SEOP).  All school-based employees and School Resource Officers (SRO’s) will receive a hard copy and training related to the District’s Active Assailant Response Procedures.  The District’s Active Assailant and Response Procedures are confidential and exempt from disclosure in accordance with F.S. 281.301 and F.S. 119.071.
  2. The Superintendent shall promulgate administrative procedures for responding to a critical incident event situation, which includes developing each school's SEOP.
