0144 - TERM
- Board members shall be elected at the general election in November for staggered terms of four (4) years arranged so that, of five (5) members, three (3) members shall be elected at one general election and two (2) members shall be elected at the next ensuing general election, except that a person may not appear on the ballot for reelection to the office of school board member if, by the end of his/her current term of office, the person will have served, or but for resignation would have served, in that office for eight (8) consecutive years. Service of a term of office which commenced before November 8, 2022, will not be counted toward the limitation imposed by this section.
- The term of office shall begin on Tuesday two (2) weeks after the general election held in the same year.
