2262 - SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE

The procedures for implementing a school age child care program are:

  1. Contact the District child care coordinator to conduct a feasibility study.

  2. Conduct a family needs survey. This issue may be included on a school survey.

  3. Complete an "Initial Child Care Plan" Child Care Guidelines: Attachment H, for approval by the Superintendent, Area Superintendent, and the Director of Adult/Community Education. An approved copy should be submitted to the district child care office for implementation of the program and to human resources for allocation of staff.

  4. Refer to Guidelines for School Age Child Care for program operations.
