5464 - EARLY GRADUATION

The Board acknowledges that some students are pursuing educational goals which include graduation from high school at an earlier date than their designated class.

Application for early graduation will be submitted to the high school Principal in accordance with school regulations.  School regulations include providing a written request accompanied by parental consent by December 1 of their junior year.  

The District may honor this request if all conditions for graduation are met and the student fulfills the graduation requirements. The  Board shall make the final decision regarding an application for early graduation.

Any student/parent that does not agree with the decision of school administration, may appeal the decision to the Board of Education.

The student may participate in the graduation ceremonies with the student's designated class. If the student will be participating in any District activities or programming, including the District's graduation ceremony, then the student must abide by all Board policies and school rules.
