2340.01 - OVERNIGHT STUDENT TRIPS

Any student travel that is to be sponsored by the District, a club or organization, or co-curricular activities that will result in the students remaining away from home overnight must have prior approval of the building principal and District Administrator. Such approval must be sought before arrangements are to be made for the trip.

Any proposed student trips that will require absence from school for more than one (1) day must have prior Board approval, excluding trips which are required as part of a State or national contest for a co-curricular activity which the District sponsors.

All students who participate in an overnight trip must have a signed consent form on file in the principal’s office prior to leaving on the trip. It will be the responsibility of the instructor(s) accompanying the students on the trip to verify that the consent forms are on file prior to departure.

Students participating in overnight student trips are expected to follow established student conduct rules.
